Film screening venues in Vas County
Film screening venues in Vas County come in two clearly different shapes. Cinema City Savaria in Szombathely is a multiplex on Körmendi út, with digital 2D and 3D auditoriums and screen rental for corporate and closed events. Kabos László Filmszínház in Sárvár works the other way: a single hall with modern projection and sound, a microphone connection and its own sound system, rented by institutions, companies and private individuals. Körmendi Mozi in Körmend sits closer to the Sárvár model, with a 106-seat first auditorium.

Multiplex hall versus single-screen theatre
Cinema City Savaria in Szombathely is the large-format option: several modern auditoriums, current films in digital 2D and 3D, and rental of a screen and auditorium for corporate and closed events. The building has a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance and toilet. Kabos László Filmszínház in Sárvár is a single hall on Nádasdy Ferenc út, with modern projection and sound, a microphone connection and its own sound system for standalone events.
Körmendi Mozi in Körmend, at Kölcsey Ferenc u. 4 in the Szabadidő Központ, offers digital projection and Dolby 5.1 sound in a 106-seat first auditorium with a 7m x 3.6m screen and a Barco projector. Like Sárvár, it rents the room to companies and private individuals and screens birthday, wedding or home videos. Its entrance, restrooms and parking are wheelchair accessible.
Matching the room to the screening
Decide first whether the event needs several parallel auditoriums or one hall. Szombathely suits larger corporate programmes that want multiplex surroundings; Sárvár and Körmend suit a single focused screening where the microphone connection and the house sound system matter. Körmend also has a defined seat count and screen size, which helps when the audience is known in advance.
Ask about the technical setup, the projection format and the sound equipment, and whether the room is available for the date. Catering is worth settling early: Sárvár and Körmend offer classic cinema buffet products, with external catering possible. Confirm what a private hire includes and what the venue provides on site.
