Parks for events in Győr-Moson-Sopron County

A wooded wedding venue and its alternatives

Sárzó-Park in Szany works on a smaller scale than Achilles Park: weddings and receptions as well as corporate events, a private chef preparing individual menus, and accommodation in apartman houses and rooms, with a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance and toilet. Provence Rendezvénypark in Kapuvár spreads over a 1.5-hectare green area and rents two rooms, one for 50 and one for 160 guests, for family celebrations, parties with friends and corporate events.

Csiszu Parkja Rendezvény- és Szabadidőpark in Gyarmat is a different proposition: it presents itself as a wedding and reception venue with exclusive use of the park for a whole weekend. Kimba Elefánt Park in Töltéstava is a zoo whose café states it hosts family and friendly gatherings, workplace occasions and weddings.

What to fix before a park event

Decide early whether the event is indoors, outdoors or both, because the parks differ on this point: Achilles Park has a function room for 150, Provence Rendezvénypark has rooms for 50 and 160, while Csiszu Parkja sells a whole weekend of exclusive park use. Ask how the rooms and outdoor areas are arranged for your event type and how many guests each setting takes.

A park setting brings practical questions. Confirm what catering is available: Sárzó-Park works with a private chef, Achilles Park has a restaurant on site, and Kimba Elefánt Park's café is the point of contact for events. Check accessibility too, since the venues list different elements, from car park and entrance to toilet and seating. Erdő Háza in Sopron is a visitor centre and wildlife park that organises nature-education programmes and family events.

Open-air sites that are not wedding venues

Not every park on this list is a wedding venue. Kimba Elefánt Park in Töltéstava is a zoo and animal park, and it is the café there that states it hosts events of many kinds. Erdő Háza Ökoturisztikai Látogatóközpont és Vadaspark in Sopron is a visitor centre and wildlife park with an interactive exhibition on forest life, native species, a freshwater aquarium visible from the buffet and a playground; it organises nature-education programmes and family events, and has a spacious car park for cars and buses near the entrance.
