Library venues in Baranya County come down to a handful of Pécs buildings, and the most telling detail is the wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park at the South Transdanubian Regional Library and Knowledge Centre on Universitas utca. That address is a working library and a conference centre at once, which sets the tone for the category: reading rooms and lecture spaces that double as event rooms. Expect a university setting rather than a hotel one, and plan around the collections.

The building at Universitas utca 2/A houses the University of Pécs Library and Knowledge Centre and the Csorba Győző Library, and its own material lists room rental and building management. Its listings mention events and an on-site restaurant or café, plus an accessible entrance and car park.
For a historical setting, the Klimo Könyvtár és Egyetemtörténeti Gyűjtemény on Szepesy Ignác utca 3 organises conferences and exhibitions, and its material also mentions room rental in the Knowledge Centre. The former episcopal collection received a separate research room from 2000. The Csorba Győző Könyvtár Belvárosi Fiókkönyvtár és Ifjúsági TanulóTér on Király utca hosts the Pécs–Baranya évszázadai local-history conference, so a central location and conference use are both documented.
These are working libraries, so the event space is rarely empty and often shared with readers and researchers. Ask which rooms are available for hire, how the technical facilities are arranged, and whether catering is possible on site, since only the Universitas utca building lists a restaurant or café.
The Klimo Könyvtár keeps a supervised research room for material used on site, which shapes how an exhibition or conference can be laid out. For a central Pécs venue, the Király utca branch is the obvious starting point. Confirm private hire and room booking with the given department or library before fixing a date.
The three addresses differ in how openly they present themselves as event venues. The Universitas utca building is the most explicit, with room rental and building management listed in its material, and it also carries accessibility features. The Klimo Könyvtár frames its activity around conferences and exhibitions and also mentions room rental in the Knowledge Centre, while the Király utca branch shows conference use through its local-history programme.
That difference matters when a planner needs certainty about layout, access and support. A library that already runs conferences is easier to fit around, but the programme alone does not prove private hire. Settle the terms with the venue.
Room rental is mentioned in the material of the Universitas utca building and, in the Knowledge Centre, in the Klimo Könyvtár material. Private hire terms are not stated, so confirm them with the venue.
Only the Universitas utca 2/A building lists a restaurant or café on site. For the Szepesy Ignác utca and Király utca addresses, catering is not stated, so clarify it with the venue.
The Klimo Könyvtár és Egyetemtörténeti Gyűjtemény organises exhibitions and keeps a supervised research room for material used on site. Its collection setting shapes the layout, so discuss the arrangement with the department.
