Community event venues in Kecskemét

Cultural centre, lakeside park and community rooms

The Hírös Agóra Kulturális és Ifjúsági Központ Nonprofit Kft. on Deák Ferenc tér describes itself as serving cultural, artistic, leisure and community needs, with room hire and event organisation backed by modern visual technology. It names conferences, exhibitions, training courses, balls, institutional and corporate events and weddings among the occasions it serves, and its building has wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance, seating and toilet. A separate venue on Rákóczi út 3 is presented for theatre, concerts, corporate events, fairs and weddings.

Potykató Pihenőpark at Belsőnyír 203 takes a different route: a family-run park in a natural setting that states it hosts weddings and wedding receptions. Two covered pavilions together take around 200 guests, and six rentable wooden cabins sleep 30 people. The grounds include a lake used for fishing, rest and fire-pit areas, sports pitches and green space, with wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance and toilet.

Széchenyi István Közösségi Ház on Széchenyi István stny. keeps things compact: three community rooms on the ground floor, one for 80 people and two for 20 each, divided by movable walls that can open the spaces up together. The Alkotóház Erdei Ferenc Kulturális és Konferencia Központ on Műkerti stny. 2 operates as a cultural and conference venue.

Matching the room to the guest list

Start with the number that has to fit. The Hírös Agóra states a range from 10 to 600 guests, Potykató Pihenőpark's two covered pavilions together take around 200, and the community house offers rooms for 80 and for 20. A guest list that sits near the top of one venue's range leaves little room for a stage, a buffet or a registration desk, so ask how the stated figure is measured.

The type of occasion narrows the field further. Weddings and receptions are named by Potykató Pihenőpark, and the Hírös Agóra lists weddings alongside conferences, balls and corporate events, with catering and accommodation booking as part of its organisation service. At Széchenyi István Közösségi Ház, programs and ongoing room rental are handled on written request. Confirm private hire and the terms that apply with each venue before committing.

What to settle before the date is fixed

Accessibility is worth checking against the actual guest list, not just the label. The Hírös Agóra and Potykató Pihenőpark both list wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance and toilet, and the Hírös Agóra adds accessible seating; Széchenyi István Közösségi Ház has accessible parking, entrance and toilet. Ask where the accessible route runs from the car park to the room you would use.

Catering and accommodation change the budget more than the room itself. The Hírös Agóra mentions catering and accommodation booking as part of its organisation service, and Potykató Pihenőpark's six wooden cabins sleep 30 people. Ask what is included in the hire, what is arranged separately, and which rooms or spaces are available for the date you have in mind.
