Community event venues in Hajdú-Bihar County

A conference complex and a park with a programme

The Kölcsey Centre on Hunyadi János u. 1-3 in Debrecen describes a building complex shared with Hotel Lycium, with conference and event spaces, hotel hospitality, recreation and gastronomy, and a direct passage between the facilities. Conferences are the event type it names. Its car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.

SZUSZ Park on Kalocsa utca in Debrecen takes the opposite route: it is a leisure park that states weddings and wedding receptions, corporate events, team building and school farewells, and its programme list adds family days, birthdays and class reunions with fishing, swimming, relay races, darts, table football and table tennis. The site is wheelchair accessible.

Restaurant settings and local halls

Panoráma Étterem és Szabadidőpark on Külső Vámospércsi út in Debrecen is a restaurant and leisure park with home-style cooking and attentive service. It states that it hosts weddings and wedding receptions, christenings, adult birthday parties and corporate events, and it offers buffet lunches, cold platters and daily menus. Entrance, restrooms, parking and seating are wheelchair accessible.

For a smaller local hall, Uzonyi Pál Közösségi Színtér in Ebes on Kossuth u. 32 works as a cultural centre and event space, with an accessible entrance, toilet and parking. Bocskai Filmszínház és Ifjúsági Ház in Hajdúnánás on Köztársaság tér 16 rents its hall to companies and private individuals, including for viewing birthday, wedding or home videos, and lists corporate events. Its car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.

What to settle with the venue

Decide first whether the event needs a conference room, a dining setting or outdoor activities, because the venues above differ on exactly that. Then ask each place about private hire and a quote for your date, since a public programme or a restaurant menu does not by itself mean the space can be booked. Confirm capacity, the facilities included and the accessibility details you need.
