Cultural centers in Heves County

Matching the room to the occasion

Start from the occasion, not the building. A lecture or workshop needs a room with technical equipment and a layout that keeps the audience close; the egri venues that list room rental with technical equipment fit this. A larger ceremony or ball needs a hall and a foyer, which is where the Gyöngyös theatre hall and the Pétervására building come into the picture. Ask what furniture, stage and sound are included and what the venue expects organisers to bring.

Accessibility is worth checking against the actual guest list. The Gyöngyös centre, the Eger Culture and Arts Center, the Hatvani sport- és Rendezvény Centrum and the Pétervására house all list wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance and toilet, while the Bartakovics Béla Közösségi Ház lists an accessible toilet. Confirm with the venue whether private hire is possible for your date and what the room rental covers.

Before the date is fixed

The programmes these houses publish are public events, which does not by itself mean the building can be hired for a private occasion. Put the question plainly: can the space be reserved for a private event, and which rooms are open to it. Ask too about the technical equipment, the layout options and the accessibility of the specific room, since these differ from building to building even within one town.
