Sports event venues in Szeged

Three addresses, three settings

Squash Club Kft. on Kenyérgyári út is the most event-oriented of the three. It states that it hosts team building, company sports days, conferences and business meetings, and its garden room, described as suitable for 300 people, sits alongside an indoor event hall. The club also names birthday parties and wedding receptions among its occasions, and offers catering and service for its garden parties. The car park and entrance are wheelchair-accessible.

Gellert Recreation Center on Derkovits fasor is the open-air option: a sports and leisure complex that opened in May 1996 and covers eight hectares, listed as a sports complex with squash and tennis courts, a wellness centre and holiday park functions. Extreme Rage Room Szeged on Gogol Street is the smallest in scale, an adventure sports centre where guests smash objects in protective gear, with team building and parties among its stated occasions.

Matching the format to the site

For a company day with several hundred guests, the Kenyérgyári út site is the one whose own description covers conferences, sports days and a garden room in one place. A tournament or a family sports afternoon fits the Derkovits fasor grounds better, where the sport itself carries the programme. The Gogol Street rage room suits a short, booked slot inside a team day or a party rather than a full-day event.

Accessibility needs are worth raising early: only Squash Club Kft. states wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance. Ask each venue what is included in the hire, whether catering comes from the house, and how many guests the space is set up for in your layout.

What to confirm with the venue

Capacity figures, prices and what a hire package contains are not fixed by the listings here, so the terms need to come from the venue itself. The rage room works on pre-assembled packages and requires advance booking, which shapes how it fits into a larger programme.

Hire terms to settle in writing

The three venues differ in what they state about events, so the written offer should spell out the room or area, the catering arrangement and any accessibility provision. Squash Club Kft. is the only one describing its own catering and service for receptions.
