Sports event venues in Szombathely

Arena, complex and tennis club compared

Arena Savaria on Sugár út 18 is the broadest offer: its own listings name the Sportliget, the Városliget and the athletics track on Sugár út as event locations, plus room hire in the Schaeffler Arena Savaria and the Kiscsarnok, and pitch hire at the two parks. Wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance are listed.

Király Sportlétesítmény is on Szombathely's western side, in Újperint, at Temesvár u. 44, on close to 6 hectares, with a UEFA-size centre pitch, grass training areas and artificial pitches. It states football, basketball, handball, archery, tengó, teqball and skill competitions, and rents a conference room with a panoramic view for courses, lectures and family events.

Savaria Tenisz Centrum on Késmárk utca is the smallest of the three and the most focused: a tennis club with a gym and a conference and event room, with conferences named among the occasions it serves. Entrance and parking are marked wheelchair accessible.

Matching the space to the event

Start from the format. A field competition or a staff football day needs grass or artificial turf, and Király Sportlétesítmény states grass areas that can take a bouncy castle, stage or tent. An indoor conference or a course fits the Schaeffler Arena Savaria rooms or the tennis club's event room.

For a club gala or a corporate occasion with catering, the venue hire terms matter as much as the space. Confirm what the chosen venue allows on site, which rooms or pitches are available for private hire, and what access the guests will have. Ask about the wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking where these are listed.
